I want you to know that you really can be, do or have anything – you just have to set your intentions, live your life and trust that everything is working in your favor. Because it really is.
Don’t believe me? I’m going to tell you a story. It’s going to seem impossible, but believe me, this happened (well, it’s currently happening, but by the time you read this, it’ll be long in the past).
Mom and I decided that it was time for us to move (there were several reasons, and I’m not going to get into them here – if you’re still curious after reading this, just ask me). We started looking at some new places even before we listed our house (this was the house where we started our life together – we got married there, you were born there, and there were so many other things that I can’t even begin to list them). We saw a place – we liked the area and just about everything about it, so we kept an eye on it. To avoid confusion later on, we’ll say that the address was 123 ABC st. Over the next couple of months, we saw a few places and we kept coming back to the first one. We were both hoping that it wouldn’t sell so we could buy it once we sold our house, but we knew that whatever was meant to be would be, so we surrendered and let go. Our house was on the market and we were generating interest, but no concrete offers had come in.
Then, while looking at new places for sale we saw that a new place – right next to the first one (we’ll call it 125 ABC st.) was for sale. We looked at the photos and weren’t super impressed, but decided that when we sold our house, we’d want to see it anyway. We had another open house. We kept envisioning the perfect buyer for our home and the perfect seller for our new home. After the open house, it seemed as though maybe we had found them – a very nice couple with a young child. They came back to see our house on the following Wednesday. I was home, and here’s where it gets interesting…
As they entered, and I asked them to take off their shoes – customary for our house – their agent looked at them and said: “See? It’s ok to ask people to do that when they come in to see your house.” I said: “Oh, are you selling your house?” They were. I asked where they lived and they gave me a general area. I had a feeling it was close to where we were looking and the feeling was that they were selling 125 ABC st. It couldn’t be though, I told myself. I showed them around (all the while, the wife was taking measurements of our house – a VERY good sign). When we finished the tour, we got to talking and it came up. Turns out, they did live at 125 ABC st. Their agent looked at me and said: “you guys should totally come and see their place! How funny would that be?”
We all went to see the place that following Sunday. We loved it. We told our agent that we wanted to give them their asking price if they gave us ours. They agreed.
We never met before, and here we were – swapping homes. The perfect buyers came along. We opened escrow on the sale of our house and the purchase of theirs on the same day.
You can ask any realtor (and we’ve asked lots of people) if they’ve ever heard of a situation like this before – trust me when I tell you, it’s not common. As I write this, your mom and me have been packing as we prepare to close escrow and move in the next 13 days.
I’ll never question the universe again. Period. Let this story be a shining example of the fact that you really can manifest your life.
See it, take the steps, and believe. You’ll achieve anything you set your mind to. I believe it, and I believe in you.
Love you bud!
