As I sit here writing, a few things occur to me.

First, writing while away from everyday responsibilities is much easier. Second, I love being around my family, and third, I don’t have much to report.

Last week, I decided to start posting daily – if for no other reason than to challenge myself to write daily as opposed to weekly (or sporadically). I had lots to say and still do – just have no idea what I’m planning to write about today. Let’s take the journey together, shall we?

There’s a lot going on in my mind right now and it’s hard to pinpoint the train of thoughts that I want to put into words and share with you, so I guess I’ll start here: Jacob is now putting together 2-word sentences and it’s freaking adorable! He’s so much fun right now that it’s stupidly hard to leave the house without him. And impossible to leave without missing him. I taught him ‘high ten’ today (he’s already mastered ‘high five’) and he was saying “High ten, high ten!” clear as day. It’s funny to hear him say ‘high ten’ and then say “dim pahpm” (for different park). He’ll put it all together at some point.

Truth be told, I can ramble on about nothing for a while, try to come up with something witty to say that might make you laugh on the inside a little and then sign off. Or, I can save us both some time – If you don’t have anything useful to say, shut your mouth (something I’m desperately trying to learn in my daily life). Or in this case, just stop typing. So, I guess today’s theme is… Nothing.
